1 Steelers WR says Arthur Smith's offense is 'constantly evolving'

Last season, despite significant changes to the roster and staff, the Pittsburgh Steelers offense was ineffective. Arthur Smith came in and took over the offensive coordinator job and the hope was he could inject some life into the offense. The front office put the roster pieces in place to make it happen, so Smith just had to work his magic.

The magic ended up being No. 16 in scoring and No. 23 in yards. The news doesn't get any better when you break it down. No. 27 in passing yards and No. 20 in passing touchdowns. In terms of rushing efficiency, things were no better. The Steelers were No. 25 in the league in yards per carry. At times the offense looked antiquated and predictable, seemingly incapable of using the middle of the field at all.

But Steelers wide receiver Scotty Miller refutes this and said after a training camp practice that Smith's offense is constantly evolving and praised his willingness to adapt to his players. Really? Is that what we saw last season?

Let's hope Miller is right because the Steelers cannot compete in the AFC North with the scheme they ran last season. Frankly, we will believe it when we see it.
