2025 NFL draft: New York Jets host second offensive lineman on visit

The New York Jets have their eye on offensive tackle at the 2025 NFL draft.

After reportedly having a top-30 visit with Oregon's Josh Conerly Jr. earlier this week, a second tackle has had another formal meeting with the team in Minnesota's Aireontae Ersery according to NFL Network:

Ersery, a senior, is labeled as a Day 2 pick at the upcoming draft by The Draft Network. NFL.com's draft profile on Ersery praises his 6-foot-6, 331-pound size, but adds that his technique needs some cleaning up in the pros.

Pro Football Focus graded Ersery a 77.5 mark for his efforts in 2024. However, he is experienced as a three-year starter.

Tackle is a need for the Jets on the offensive line despite selecting Olu Fashanu in the first round at last year's draft. Veterans Morgan Moses and Tyron Smith are no longer on New York's roster following free agency.

Entering the draft, the Jets hold the No. 7 overall selection. Ersery might be in more in play at No. 42 overall in the second round.
