2025 Notre Dame Projected Depth Chart - Offense

Notre Dame will look to make another offensive jump in year two of the Mike Denbrock offense. As we kick off summer coverage of the Fighting Irish it's time to take a look at the projected two-deep for the offense. Below is my best projection for what the starting lineup will be for the Irish. There are some positions that are highly likely but in other spots either the starter or the two-deep players will have to battle to secure these spots.
QUARTERBACK
Redshirt freshman CJ Carr and redshirt sophomore Kenny Minchey are still battling for the starting job, but I project that Carr wins the job. He's been more impressive in both the 2024 and 2025 Blue-Gold Games, he's the more consistent player and his ceiling is quite high. Minchey is a dynamic talent as well and he'll need to be at his best if he's going to win this job.
RUNNING BACK
There's no doubt about who is at the top of this depth chart, with junior Jeremiyah Love and redshirt junior Jadarian Price form arguably the best one-two punch in the country. Notre Dame's depth chart behind that duo is also loaded, and that's where the summer and fall camp battle will rage. Aneyas Williams and Gi'Bran Payne will push to earn third-down snaps and redshirt freshman Kedren Young is an elite talent that will also push for a significant role in the backfield.
WIDE RECEIVER
One thing to consider about the wide receiver position is that not all the players are going to stay at the position listed above. There will be a lot of flexibility, especially with the Slot and Z receiver positions. If a game was played this Saturday I would expect Jaden Greathouse, Jordan Faison and Will Pauling to handle those two spots, with all three likely getting some snaps at both positions.
Adding Malachi Fields and Micah Gilbert to the depth chart after both missed the spring (Fields was still at Virginia, Gilbert had a hand injury) adds a lot of size and talent that was missing in the spring. There is a lot of proven production in this room and some talented young players who are poised to become regulars this season.
TIGHT END
There was never any doubt that Eli Raridon - if healthy - would be the starting tight end. The question was how good would he be, and his spring performance was a great sign that a breakout is coming. Behind him there are questions. Kevin Bauman had a good spring but he's struggled to stay healthy. Ty Washington and Jack Larsen will push for a role in the rotation, and keep an eye on talented incoming freshman James Flanigan.
OFFENSIVE LINE
A spring injury to redshirt freshman Guerby Lambert ended any debate about who would start at offensive tackle. You can pencil in last year's starters - redshirt junior Aamil Wagner and sophomore Anthonie Knapp - into the lineup. Offensive line coach Joe Rudolph is set on keeping redshirt sophomore Charles Jagusah inside at guard despite his strong performance in the national title game, and if Jagusah can make a smooth transition he could have a monster season. Redshirt junior Billy Schrauth is poised for a breakout season at left guard and classmate Ashton Craig is set to return to the starting center role after missing all but three games last season with a knee injury. Redshirt sophomore Sullivan Absher is listed at left guard but he's likely the first guy off the bench at all three interior positions.
