2026 Buccaneers free agent preview: Defensive lineman Logan Hall
As we move closer to the next stage of the offseason, we want to ensure there is a complete preview of the Bucs heading into 2026. So to achieve that, we will be doing free agent previews for notable players the team will have on the market in the coming weeks.
In this piece, we will be previewing defensive lineman Greg Gaines.
The Bucs' free agency will be both interesting and pivotal to their success in 2026. As Jason Licht has shown, he can be aggressive, but it is not like him to spend a lot in free agency. However, he does tend to like to retain Tampa Bay talent that he has seen develop properly, or arrive and make a splash.
So with the table set, here is a free agent preview.
Background
- College: Houston
- Year Drafted: 2022 (2nd Round)
- Notable Achievements: N/A
Notable 2025 Statistics
- 18 Tackles
- 1.5 Sacks
- 1 Forced Fumble
Projected Contract Value
- $6.7 Million (per Over the Cap)
Player Summary
Logan Hall came to the Bucs with some hope that he could develop into the next monster in the middle of their defense. However, Hall has never quite found his footing with the Bucs and could find himself looking for a fresh start elsewhere in 2026. The team needs depth up front, but the projected value of his contract would make it a tough sell to bring him back. If he can be signed for a cheaper, prove-it deal, then perhaps he returns, and the Bucs, I think, would welcome him back.
