2026 NFL Draft: Steelers may have found a trade partner

With over 12 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers are highly expected to trade up during the exciting event — and one potential trade partner may have emerged.

On Wednesday, Miami Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan admitted that the team will be more likely to trade down than up in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Holding the No. 11 overall pick, the Dolphins might be the perfect trade partner for the Steelers, who may be looking to trade up from their spot at 21 for a high-profile prospect, such as USC wide receiver Makai Lemon or Penn State guard Vega Ioane.

Pulling off a trade with the Dolphins, however, may require Pittsburgh to send two of their three third-round draft picks, along with the 21st overall pick, to facilitate a deal.

If Miami is truly looking to trade down from the 11th spot, the Steelers cannot afford to pass up an opportunity to move up for a potentially generational talent, especially when the roster appears to be just a few moves away from contention status.
