A pillar of the Brazilian national team, Casemiro does not want to head to the 2026 World Cup without Neymar. The Manchester United midfielder sends a clear message to Carlo Ancelotti.
While Neymar is facing heavy criticism in Brazil after his match against Flamengo (2-3), he can count on Casemiro's support. The Manchester United star is campaigning for the Santos superstar to return to the Seleção for the 2026 World Cup.
"Neymar is essential to any national team. If he's fit, he'll be crucial for us at the World Cup. (...) He's a player from another planet. Neymar is incredible. And day-to-day, I know his team well—he works tremendously hard. Everything he's achieved isn't just luck... You can't make it on talent alone; you need hard work and perseverance," Casemiro told the Brazilian outlet Globo.

For his part, coach Carlo Ancelotti has already made it clear: Neymar must be 100% fit physically if he hopes to play in the next World Cup.
