Alabama softball completed a three-game sweep over the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford to begin SEC play this past weekend.

Alabama has been widely regarded as one of the top teams in all of college softball to begin the 2026 campaign. The Tide currently hold an overall record of 23-0 following the sweep over Ole Miss, as Alabama has dominated both in the circle and at the plate throughout the first two months of play.

Here are three takeaways from Alabama’s weekend sweep over Ole Miss.

Jocelyn Briski continues to dominate, throws complete game Friday

Briski has been recognized as a top pitcher in both the SEC and all of college softball throughout the first 23 games of play this season. The star pitcher continued to shine against Ole Miss on Friday, as Briski recorded a complete game in the Tide’s first matchup of SEC play.

Briski recorded an extremely impressive eight strikeouts through six shutout innings during Sunday’s victory over the Rebels as well, as the talented flamethrower continues to shine on a nightly basis.

Vic Moten records first career save during Sunday’s 2-1 victory

Both Moten and Briski have been two of the top pitchers in the entire country in 2026. Moten shined once again against the Rebels on Sunday, as the talented pitcher recorded her first career save in what was a critical moment for both the freshman and team as a whole.

Moten recorded just one out in the save, as the flamethrower was able to get a swinging strikeout to secure the Tide’s 3-0 sweep over the Rebels this weekend.

Brooke Wells stays red hot at plate, goes 7-for-9 throughout series

Wells has played a critical role at the plate for Alabama this season. The star infielder went an extremely impressive 7-for-9 throughout the series against the Rebels, as Wells is undoubtedly one of the hottest hitters in the country entering SEC play.

The talented player recorded three walks and four RBI this past weekend as well, as Wells was nothing short of dominant against Ole Miss.

Alabama will host Samford on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. CT, as the Tide will look to improve to 24-0 to begin the 2026 campaign.
