Recruiting Story
The highest-rated running back commit for the Wolverines in the modern era of recruiting, Hiter appeared to be a longshot before Tony Alford defected from Ohio State for Ann Arbor. However, the maize and blue hung around in his recruitment for some time, though most thought he'd end up elsewhere earlier in the cycle. Ultimately, Michigan beat out heavy hitters like Georgia and Ohio State to secure Hiter and he's been solid ever since.
First-year outlook
While Michigan football awaits to learn whether or not Justice Haynes will return for his senior year, regardless, Hiter will certainly be in the rotation. Whether he's the second back or third in his freshman campaign remains to be seen, but he should be in heavy utilization regardless.
