8 players named as nominees for 2026 Patriots Hall of Fame induction
The New England Patriots' Hall of Fame committee met last week to kick-start the 2026 induction process. It's a committee composed of 23 members responsible for whittling the nominations down to three finalists that are voted on by the fans for one inductee each year.
ESPN's Mike Reiss noted that defensive lineman Julius Adams, tight end Rob Gronkowski, linebacker Dont'a Hightower, offensive lineman Logan Mankins, safety Lawyer Milloy, running/special teamer Mosi Tatupu, kicker Adam Vinatieri and wide receiver Wes Welker were all nominated to be selected.
One would think Gronkowski, who is arguably the greatest tight end in NFL history, will be favored to get in this year. The four-time Super Bowl champion proved to be one of the most dominant offensive weapons Brady has ever had in his all-time great run.
Vinatieri is another Patriots legend who should be inducted soon. He is arguably the greatest kicker of all time with two Super Bowl-winning kicks for the Patriots, along with holding the NFL record for the most points scored (2,673).
Every player nominated is deserving of an induction at some point, but the fans will ultimately decide when that happens.
