A Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless 'First Take' reunion is coming, per report

It's been nearly 10 years since Skip Bayless bid an emotional farewell to First Take and ESPN, with kind words about his on-air partner Stephen A. Smith: "We've had our battles on this show, we fight like brothers, we get mad, we love each other. And I'm going to miss him more than he has any concept."

On Monday, there's a report that those that fought like brothers will be reunited. From a Front Office Sports report: "Skip Bayless will join Stephen A. Smith on ESPN’s First Take this Friday, Front Office Sports has learned. The reunion of the two former TV partners is described as a 'one-time show.' It will be the first time Bayless and Smith have appeared together on ESPN’s top-rated morning show since June 2016. "

This is exciting for fans of the morning debate show and for those who loved watching Smith and Bayless go head to head as the growth of shows like First Take happened at ESPN. And the emphasis here is: It's being painted as a "one-time show."

But, thinking out loud here: What if it's a massive success? If the ratings are there, and with Bayless no longer tethered to FS1's Undisputed, could we see these two back more often? We'll see.
