Alabama lands second commitment from 2026 prospect this week

For the second time this week, the Alabama Crimson Tide have landed a commitment from a top basketball recruit in the 2026 class.

That prospect is Tarris Bouie, who announced a commitment to the Crimson Tide on Wednesday morning only two days after small forward Christopher Washington Jr. did the same.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Bouie is currently considered as the nation's No. 53 overall player in the 2026 class. A four-star prospect, Bouie is also ranked as the nation's No. 20 small forward nationally, as well as the No. 4 player in the state of Ohio where he attends Spire Academy.

Following the commitment of Bouie, Alabama's 2026 class now ranks No. 4 nationally, according to 247Sports, with two commits.
