Algeria: Yanis Massolin to receive a call-up soon?
According to El Heddaf, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) is keeping a close watch on Yanis Massolin, the French-Algerian midfielder who is now on the national team’s radar. While an initial call-up as early as March was discussed, the Algerian body is reportedly taking a cautious approach, opting to monitor his development before making a definitive decision.
Born in France, Massolin has carved out an unconventional path, climbing from the amateur divisions to taste Ligue 1 action with Clermont, before making his mark in Belgium and Italy. This upward trajectory recently saw him hit a major milestone, officially signing with Inter Milan in February 2026, while remaining on loan at Modena to finish out the season.
