The Buffalo Bills have made moves to "win now" with Josh Allen and Joe Brady as the franchise looks to at least make the Super Bowl for the first time in the Allen era.

Having gotten close previously, last season's failure saw the end of Sean McDermott, as the franchise needed a fresh voice. They have it, sort of, in Brady.

General manager Brandon Beane addressed the receiver issue, signing DJ Moore, and added pass rusher Bradley Chubb. Two moves most agree will help push the Bills forward.

But Sports Illustrated's Matt Verderame highlights the big danger of both of those moves as we look towards the 2026 season...what if they don't hit?

"Brandon Beane made two very questionable moves, trading a second-rounder for Moore and signing soon-to-be 30-year-old Bradley Chubb to a three-year deal," Verderame wrote. "If those moves don’t work out, this team will have gotten worse over the past 100 days."

Bills face defining 2026 season

I feel like we say this every year with Buffalo, but this time it feels different.

The franchise fired its long-term coach, put in a first-timer, and has made two big moves to help both sides of the ball. Brady won't get no honeymoon period.

Brady sitting in the big chair means he is under pressure from Day 1 to get this franchise to the Super Bowl. And Buffalo's two big free agency signings should help him get there.

But if they don't, or they don't play well enough, and the Bills stumble yet again, then where will the franchise go from there?

That is a question Bills Mafia doesn't want to think about.
