Atlanta Falcons' hiring of Kevin Stefanski is good for Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are still engaged in their search for a new head coach, and things might have gotten a little bit better for them. Another team has named their new head coach, and it didn't take away any of the Cardinals' candidates.

The Atlanta Falcons named former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski their new coach, replacing Raheem Morris.

Stefanski was not one of the 13 known candidates the Cardinals have.

So now the Falcons and the New York Giants, who have hired John Harbaugh, have their coaching jobs filled, leaving the Cardinals as one of seven teams still looking for a new coach. That list includes the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders and Browns as well as the Cardinals.

Who are the Cardinals' candidates?

The Cardinals have either interviewed or requested to interview 13 coaches. They spoke with Harbaugh on a phone call as well.

These are the guys we know the Cardinals have interest in.

  • Denver Broncos DC Vance Joseph
  • Miami Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver
  • Kansas City Chiefs OC Matt Nagy
  • San Francisco 49ers DC Robert Saleh
  • Seattle Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak
