Bengals extend Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins for four years apiece

Joe Burrow will keep his favorite receiving targets with the Cincinnati Bengals. The AFC North team came to terms Sunday with wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

Each wideout agreed to a four-year contract extension. Chase gets a deal that totals $161 million, making him the highest-paid non quarterback in the league. Higgins will get $115 million.

That's $276 million being spent to make sure Burrow has his top targets.

Chase has 345 receptions for 5,425 yards and 46 touchdowns in four seasons. The former LSU star caught 127 passes for 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2024. That would equate to the receivers Triple Crown.

Higgins had been franchise-tagged twice by Cincinnati. He has 330 receptions for 4,595 yards and 34 touchdowns as a Bengal in five seasons.

Both negotiations were prolonged and contentious, but all that matters to Burrow now is that he will have Chase and Higgins to throw the ball to for many years to come.
