Boozer, Brown, Scheyer headline ACC season honors
Welcome, Cameron Boozer. You have joined an elite company that has only been achieved by a Duke player.
On Monday, the ACC announced the star freshman as the ACC Player and Rookie of the Year following a season in which Boozer put up 22.7 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game, helping lead the Blue Devils to a regular-season ACC title, 29-2 overall record and 17-1 in conference play.
He joins Jahlil Okafor (2015), Marvin Bagley III (2018), Zion Williamson (2019) and Cooper Flagg (2025), all former Blue Devils, as the only players in ACC history to win both awards.
It wasn’t just Boozer that earned some recognition. Maliq Brown earned both Defensive Player and Sixth Man of the Year, while Jon Scheyer became the first Duke coach to win ACC Coach of the Year since Mike Krzyzewski earned it in 2000.
Sophomore guard Isaiah Evans was named a Third Team All-ACC selection.
