Breaking down the Boston Celtics trade market

The Boston Celtics have some tough decisions to make over the next two weeks. The Feb. 5 trade deadline is fast approaching, and Brad Stevens must decide whether to seek out roster improvements or trust the current rotation to continue developing during the second half of the 2025-26 campaign.

The bright side is that Boston could get Jayson Tatum back in the coming months. His return would provide a significant boost to Joe Mazzulla's rotation. However, there are still concerns regarding the guard and big man depth. And, in recent weeks, the Celtics have been linked to numerous talents, such as Ivica Zubac, Ayo Dosunmu and Jaren Jackson Jr.

During a recent episode of the "Celtics Chronicle" podcast, hosts Adam Taylor and Billy Calabrese were joined by NBA cap expert Keith Smith to discuss Boston's options leading up to the trade deadline. The trio analyzed some proposed trades, the likelihood of the Celtics making a move, and the difference between realistic and wishful expectations.
