Brody Carr, in-state left-handed pitcher, commits to Vanderbilt baseball in 2026 class
In-state left-handed pitcher Brody Carr committed to Vanderbilt baseball, he announced Sept. 30.
Carr, a member of the class of 2026, was previously committed to Virginia Tech but decommitted in August. He also visited Auburn and NC State before deciding on the Commodores.
The 6-1 southpaw is from Dandridge, Tenn. and attends Jefferson County High School, where he also plays basketball. His fastball has topped at 91 mph.
Carr is the sixth in-state recruit for the Commodores in the 2026 class, joining fellow southpaws Bo Holloway and Jameson Napper, infielder Gunner Skelton, first baseman Collin Bland and outfielders Noah Wilson and Michael Holt. He is the 23rd commitment overall in the class, which is ranked No. 1 by Perfect Game.
In 2025, Carr was named to the TSWA All-State team after recording an 8-0 record as a pitcher. He was also named the Lakeway Area Player of the Year.
