Bromsgrove Sporting confirms consortium takeover

Bromsgrove Sporting has confirmed a five-person consortium has secured a controlling stake in the football club.

The group, called Bromsgrove Sporting Holdings Limited, is made up of local businessmen Elliott Nash, Alex Moran, Adam Hutchison, Darren Alderson and Darren Smith.

Hutchison said: "We're incredibly excited to have our involvement with the club confirmed and to officially be able to start pouring our hearts and souls into the club, as more than supporters."

The consortium's plans include "transforming the matchday experience", and creating a community hub during the week, with a new bar area and permanent home for the local burger restaurant Hangry Moose.

Beyond the first team, the group have also committed to improving pitch facilities at Barnsley Hall to support the growth and development of the Colts and ladies' teams.

They said this would ensure everyone who played for Bromsgrove Sporting, at any level, benefitted from the support of the consortium.

Hutchinson added: "The club has a proud history, a loyal fanbase and huge potential for further growth and expansion.

"We want to work side by side with fans and the wider community, bringing together passion, commercial experience and community pride to create a club that thrives long into the future."

The club's chairman, Rod Brown, said: "The passion all members of the consortium have for our club is clear.

"Individually, they've all built thriving, longstanding businesses. Together, we know they'll bring that expertise to Sporting, improving the club for the long term.

"This is an important moment for our club, and we look forward to building a legacy together for years to come."
