Following the 2026 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos took to the undrafted free-agent process and the team added 14 new players to the roster. But the Broncos were looking for more.
As detailed by Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazzette, the Broncos were interested in signing a pair of former Colorado Buffaloes, wide receiver Sincere Brown and defensive lineman Anquin Barnes. However, Brown took a contract from the Los Angeles Chargers and Barnes opted to sign with the New York Giants.
Luca Evans of The Denver Post also reported that the team was looking at Penn State linebacker Dom DeLuca picked the Baltimore Ravens over the Broncos.
Brown came to Colorado from South Florida after missing the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He caught 22 passes for 376 yards and two touchdowns for the Buffaloes last season.
Barnes came from Alabama and was used as a run stuffer at Colorado. He had 34 tackles and one interception in two seasons with the team.
DeLuca was at Penn State from 2021-25 and racked up 164 tackles, 4.5 sacks and five interceptions during his college career. He could have added another option at inside linebacker, but felt Baltimore suited him better.
Broncos undrafted free agent class
The Broncos have an interesting undrafted free agent class, which I will provide individual spotlights on with analysis and their chances of making the 53-man roster soon. That group is highlighted by Taurean York, who many draft analysts felt would be selected in the draft.
Despite not signing Brown, the Broncos still added five undrafted free agents and have a deep group at that position heading into camp later this summer.

The Broncos will hold a rookie mini camp from May 8-10, where other players will be invited for tryouts, so there is a chance that more players will be added or some of those tryout players could take the jobs of some of these undrafted free agents.
