Browns elevate DE K.J. Henry from practice squad vs. Titans
The Cleveland Browns have elevated defensive end K.J. Henry from the practice squad to the gameday roster for their NFL Week 14 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
Dealing with injuries along their defensive line, elevating one makes sense. This week, defensive tackle Maliek Collins was placed on season-ending Injured Reserve, and Sam Kamara was signed from the practice squad to the active roster. Defensive tackle Adin Huntington is also set to miss this game against the Titans with a quad injury. Defensive end Isaiah McGuire is questionable to play in this game with a knee injury, and fellow end Alex Wright is returning from a quad injury after missing his last three games.
Henry was claimed by the Browns off the waiver wire this summer and has spent time between the active roster, practice squad, and on other teams around the league this season. The best guess here is that Henry has been elevated in case McGuire is not healthy enough to play.
As the Browns search for their fourth win of the season against the Titans, and as defensive end Myles Garrett chases the NFL's single-season sack record, we'll see how much of a role Henry plays in this game.
