Browns live cutdown tracker: Cleveland trims roster from 90 to 53 players

The Cleveland Browns have already begun their journey of cutting their roster down to 53 players from the 90 that it currently stands at after their preseason finale against the Los Angeles Rams. The team must be at 53 players by 4 p.m. Eastern Time.

This means that Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders are all likely to make the Browns' final 53-man roster. However, cutting 37 players is a ton of information to keep up with. So we've got you covered.

Follow along here as we keep you up to date with every cut made by the Browns to trim their roster down to 53 players!

Browns release two veterans

Both quarterback Tyler Huntley and cornerback Nik Needham have been released by the Browns. Huntley is not a surprise, as the Browns only brought him on to eat preseason snaps. However, the release of Needham is a bit of a surprise, as the team is struggling to find a nickel cornerback, and he had experience starting there with the Miami Dolphins.
