Browns QB Shedeur Sanders has ESPN analyst Louis Riddick in his corner to win starting job

Who will win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback job this summer? If you ask ESPN's Louis Riddick, he thinks it may just be the fifth round pick, Shedeur Sanders.

The Browns have no front-runner. They have no preconceived notions about who will win the starting job. They truly expect a four-way quarterback competition between Sanders, third round pick Dillon Gabriel, and veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett.

Could Sanders come out on top? Here is what the ESPN analyst had to say on Sanders winning the starting job:

"If he can compete with Dillon Gabriel, if he can compete with Joe Flacco, if he can compete with Kenny Pickett, there is a very good chance that if this is an organic competition with a level playing field, then he can be your Week 1 starter. No question about it."

Sanders was a four-year starter throughout his college career at both Jackson State and Colorado. He has been a Day 1 starter in both of those gigs, and was even named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. He was the most accurate quarterback in this past quarterback class by a wide margin, and will now have a chance repeat history again: win the job from Day 1.
