Browns set to face Dorian Thompson-Robinson as Eagles' starting QB

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced that Tanner McKee will not start today, leaving former Cleveland Browns quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson to get the starting nod against his former team.

Thompson-Robinson, a fifth round pick of the Browns in the 2023 NFL draft, was traded to the Eagles this offseason as the team overhauled their entire quarterback room. The Browns packaged Thompson-Robinson and a fifth round pick to the Eagles in exchange for former first round pick Kenny Pickett. Unfortunately for the Browns, Pickett has been sidelined most of training camp with a hamstring injury.

During his time with the Browns, Thompson-Robinson had a less-than-stellar record and time on the field. In five starts with the Browns, Thompson-Robinson finished with just a record of 1-4. He completed just 52 percent of his passes and had an abysmal touchdown-to-interception ratio of 1:10.

This game is set to kick off in just under 40 minutes as the Browns look to continue to develop the bottom of their roster and sort out who will make their 53-man roster. Will the Browns be able to get after their former quarterback in this game and make a massive impact defensively?
