Browns urged to secure electric Texas A&M receiver in 2026 NFL draft
The Cleveland Browns haven’t done much to address their wide receiver situation, and it’s becoming a problem. Last season exposed serious gaps in that position group, and while the team signed former Baltimore Ravens wideout and return specialist Tylan Wallace on Wednesday, that move does not change the bigger picture.
Cleveland still needs to add real talent and competition to the room. Jerry Jeudy couldn’t deliver what the Browns expected after his arrival, and Cedric Tillman didn’t step up either. Isaiah Bond shows potential but isn’t ready to carry any weight yet.

That leaves the 2026 draft as the main path forward for upgrades. Prospects like Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson, and Makai Lemon are all in the mix, though snagging one at No. 24 could get tricky if the Browns go elsewhere with the No. 6 pick.
CBS Sports analyst Ryan Wilson highlighted Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion as someone the Browns should consider. Concepcion had seven drops last year, which is a concern, but once he gets his hands on the ball, he can do damage.
“He did have 7 drops last year, but he’s absolutely electric with the ball in his hands. Look, he’s sub-60, and maybe this sounds a little bit like the Jerry Jeudy scouting report coming out of Alabama. I realized that,” Wilson said on the 92.3 The Fan Radio. “But he provides returnability, and you have to get that wide receiver room some help.”
“He can play in the slot, he can play outside, as I mentioned, the return ability, and after the catch, he’s absolutely electric. He gives you 95% of what Makai Lemon does.”
The drops seem to come from concentration breakdowns rather than poor hands. Concepcion is a natural catcher who doesn’t battle the football, which is encouraging.

What makes him interesting is his versatility. He’s under 6-foot but plays bigger than his size suggests.
He can line up inside or outside, and his ability in the return game adds another layer of value. His production jumped from NC State to Texas A&M last season, which only reinforces the upward trend.
The debate now is whether Concepcion is worth taking at No. 24 or if Cleveland should look to trade down and grab him later. Either way, the Browns cannot afford to wait. That receiver room needs an infusion of talent.
