Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans: 5 storylines to watch for during lead up to Week 12
The Buffalo Bills are turning to the next page of their 2025 NFL season against the Houston Texans.
Following a sean that has built Super Bowl hopes to this point, can the Bills continue their trek toward making that a reality?
Before we even get to the team's next kickoff, there will be a lot of Bills-related discussions and conversations to be had throughout the coming days.
With that, here are five storylines to watch for during the lead up to Bills (7-3) against the Texans (5-5) in Week 12 at NRG Stadium:
Short week

As is always the case with "Thursday Night Football," the question of how the Bills will handle playing on a short week will be asked.
For what it's worth, Buffalo already played and won on Thursday this season, back in Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.
On the flip side, the Texans have not played on Thursday yet in 2025.
Don't do it again
It's simple: Don't lay an egg.
The Bills are fresh off a big win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A few weeks back, Buffalo beat the Kansas City Chiefs only to not perform the following game against those Dolphins in a disappointing loss.
Don't do that again.
Is Josh heating up?

Bills quarterback Josh Allen was an absolute stud against the Buccaneers. His six touchdowns scored tell the full story.
Buffalo has been inconsistent on offense throughout the 2025 season. With such an epic showing, can Allen and the Bills find a way to snowball that into more positive play?
Who is leading the Texans offense?
Houston's starting quarterback in CJ Stroud (concussion) has missed two-straight games because of injury. His health status will be watched throughout the coming days...but the Texans have a capable backup. Davis Mills has led the Texans to back-to-back wins while Stroud has been sidelined.
Wide receiver shakeout
What is going to happen with Keon Coleman and Buffalo's wide receiver room?
Coleman was a healthy scratch against the Buccaneers. We found out wide receiver Keon Coleman was benched by the Bills against the Bucs as he was late to a team meeting on Friday.
Without Coleman, the likes of Gabe Davis and Mecole Hardman got their first run with the Bills offense this season. Considering Davis' past experience in Buffalo and having been with the team since September, it was not surprising to see him get more looks against the Bucs. Davis had three catches on four targets for 40 yards. Hardman did not catch his only target but he did feature on special teams.
Let's see whaat happens on Thursday.
