Campbell Hatton will fight on the undercard of what would have been an event headlined by his late father, Ricky, on 11 April in Dubai.

The two-weight world champion died at the age of 46 last September.

Ricky was scheduled to fight Eisa Al Dah last year in what was being billed as his first professional bout since retiring in 2012.

His son Campbell will fight for the first time since retiring from boxing in 2024 after successive defeats.

"Looking forward to getting back in the ring in memory of my dad out in Dubai," Campbell said on Instagram.

The niece and nephew of Ricky, Jack and Lola Hatton, will also compete at the event.

Both teenagers are in the early stages of their amateur careers.

Campbell, 25, initially followed in his father's footsteps into professional boxing but after 14 wins and two losses, decided to step away from the sport.

The fight night is now headlined by former world champion Kell Brook, who says he will be fighting in tribute to the 'Hitman'.

Brook, 39, retired from boxing in 2022 after a win over his long-time rival Amir Khan.

It is unclear if the bout with 47-year-old Al Dah, who has not fought since 2021, will be a fully sanctioned professional fight.

Organisers say the event will support the newly-formed Ricky Hatton Foundation and will "honour" the boxer's memory through the evening.
