Can the Boston Celtics find success with their new style of play?

After a flurry of offseason moves, the Boston Celtics roster looks vastly different to the one that fell to the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals last season. The front court rotation has been overhauled, with a string of young and unproven talent fighting for minutes. As such, Joe Mazzulla has begun to switch up Boston's style of play. They're running more, cutting with purpose, and the shot profile is slowly trending away from the three-point heavy approach we've seen in recent years.

One of the biggest issues during preseason has been the Celtics' inability to control the defensive glass. They've given up 49 offensive rebounds in three games. However, if they can shore up that problem and find some sustainable rotations, the Celtics could emerge as a fun and gritty team to watch in the upcoming season.

During a recent episode of "The Big Three" podcast, hosts A. Sherrod Blakely, Kwani Lunis and Gary Washburn discussed whether the Celtics' new style of play can help them remain competitive in what is clearly a retooling year. The trio touched on Boston's rebounding issues and the lack of perimeter scoring off the bench. The pace of play was also a topic of discussion during the episode.
