CeeDee Lamb Says He's Learned a Lot from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders — Just Not "Thunderstruck" Dance (Exclusive)

CeeDee Lamb is as impressed by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders as the rest of the world.

The 26-year-old wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys spoke to PEOPLE at Radio Row on Wednesday, Feb. 4, reflecting on how his team is "the mecca of the media."

For him, that's "especially" the case when it comes to the Cowboys' iconic cheer squad. Speaking to Janine Rubenstein, Lamb gushes about the women's work ethic, praising them for working two jobs, which he says "is crazy."

Lamb highlights the training that goes into being a member of the elite group, describing them as "committed young ladies." He also shares that he's learned "a lot" from watching them at work.

However, one thing that the NFL star is still not familiar with is the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders' iconic "Thunderstruck" routine.

"I don't know any of that," he admits with a laugh.

Lamb is also the owner of a key piece of history to the Cowboys as a member of the "88 Club," a reference to his jersey number, which has been worn by some of the team's greatest wide receivers — Drew Pearson, Michael Irvin and Dez Bryant.

"It's amazing," Lamb says about the honor of joining the club. "Honestly, I took it for granted my first couple days in it. But then once I realized what it was like in Dallas, the love, the respect, the tension, the everything that I've ever wanted in my life... It comes with this jersey number."

Elsewhere in the interview, Lamb reflects on partnering with USAA to bring an Air Force veteran and his wife to Super Bowl LX on Sunday, Feb. 4. He says that the opportunity is "so personal and important" since he had an uncle who served in the Air Force.

"I understand what it's like for one of my family members to be selfless for me and my family," he shares. Continuing, Lamb praises the NFL's Salute to Service partnership, which he says "made it kind of easier for me to make that happen."

"And I'm happy that they're able to help me because it makes me feel more at home and like I'm doing something that I actually care about," he adds.
