The Chicago Sky entered Tuesday's matchup against the 4-7 Washington Mystics with a 3-7 record during the 2025 WNBA season.
Sunday's 78 to 66 win against the Connecticut Sun snapped a three-game losing streak for the Sky and gave them their first win of the Commissioner's Cup.
Angel Reese recorded her first triple-double of her WNBA career in the win, scoring 11 points in addition to 13 rebounds and 11 assists.
During Tuesday's game against the Mystics, Chicago Sky head coach Tyler Marsh chose to celebrate Reese by wearing her Reebok Engine A "Pretty Gritty" PE shoes on the sideline.

Fans reacted strongly to Marsh's gesture on Tuesday during the game against Washington. Many took to social media to voice their support for the first-year head coach.
"Tyler coaching in Angel’s shoes?" one fan asked.
"Tyler Marsh Rocking Angel Reebok Shoe🥺🤝🏽," another responded.
"Tyler Marsh wearing Angel Reese sneakers is kinda weird but [expletive] it," a fan wrote. "Do whatever works lol."

Chicago got off to an 0-4 start during the 2025 WNBA season but they have now won three of their last six games.
While they are out of the running to clinch the Eastern Conference's spot in the Commissioner's Cup, a win would boost them into fourth place in the conference standings.
Reese had 12 points, six rebounds and three assists at halftime as the Sky clung to a 44 to 32 lead.
