When the Chicago Sky host the Indiana Fever on Saturday night, it will be the first WNBA game held at the United Center, home to the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Saturday night’s game will be the second of five meetings between the Sky and Fever this season. The teams first faced off in the season opener, when Caitlin Clark recorded a triple-double to lead Indiana to a dominant 93-58 win. However, Clark has missed the past three games due to a left quad strain and will be sidelined again for the game against Chicago. However, she will be reevaluated this weekend and could be back as soon as next week.
The Fever have gone 1-2 in her absence and enter the game with a 3-4 record. The Sky lost their first four games of the season, including the opening loss to Indiana, but have won their last two to enter the game with a 2-4 record.
In anticipation of the game, the Sky made the following announcement on X:
"FIRST NIGHT AT UNITED CENTER 🤩 swipe through to see what we have for the big night ➡️ see you there 😉"
