Chiefs urged to do 1 thing in NFL Draft

The Kansas City Chiefs, for most, have an easy to-do list with the NFL Draft approaching, and that is to get as many defensive players as possible.
With the Chiefs holding two first-round picks, the thought is both could be used on defensive players, with one at least being a corner like Mansoor Delane.
Also, pass rush is a big need, as the Chiefs have to give Chris Jones someone to help him get after the quarterback.
The offense appears to be in good shape, but there are questions on the offensive line and at receiver; they aren't as glaring as the defensive holes, though.
For ESPN's Ben Solak, what the Chiefs have to do in this draft is rather straightforward, yet not easy.
"Leave Pittsburgh with enough defensive talent to start the new era of Super Bowl contention under Mahomes," Solak wrote. "Sounds easy enough!"

Chiefs' defense a work in progress
If the Chiefs can get the right defensive players in the draft and then look to free agency to plug other holes, maybe there will be a turnaround of sorts.
We have seen Delane and Reuben Bain Jr. be mocked to the Chiefs regularly over the past two weeks, so leaving with one of those two would be seen as a great get for Kansas City.
Steve Spagnuolo can work his magic yet again, but he'll need to do it with different-looking personnel, as I'd imagine the Chiefs could be busy post-draft in player acquisition.
With two first-round picks, the Chiefs can get the draft off to a good start and, with the rest of their selections, get defensive depth and possibly an odd starter as well.
In other words, defense is the big item on Kansas City's draft menu.
