Saturday night, the men’s Final Four will get underway in Indianapolis. As teams get ready to compete at Lucas Oil Stadium, Nielsen has released the most watched programs in college basketball, based on average viewership.

On the men’s side, Michigan is the most-watched team of the Final Four teams. The Wolverines are the only team left standing to average more than 2 million viewers across the regular season and NCAA tournament, fueled by 7.5 million people watching their Elite 8 win over Tennessee on Sunday.

The men’s tournament has seen TV ratings rise, continuing a trend that began in the college basketball regular season. Here are the most-watched teams in the men’s Final Four, according to average viewership.

Michigan: 2.221 million

One of the most-watched teams during the college basketball regular season, Michigan has the highest viewership among the men’s Final Four teams. More than 2.2 million people have watched the Wolverines on average this season as they head to Indianapolis.

Michigan’s biggest audience came in the Elite 8 with 7.49 million viewers watching the victory over Tennessee in Chicago. The Wolverines have been one of the top TV ratings draws in college basketball this season and will look to keep that trend going at the Final Four.

Illinois: 1.741 million

At 1.741 million viewers this season, Illinois has the second-highest viewership among the teams left in the Final Four. The Fighting Illini have also played in one of the most-watched games of the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

Illinois’ victory over Iowa averaged 8.24 million viewers across TBS and truTV in the Elite 8, ranking in the Top 10 among March Madness games this year. Brad Underwood’s group is now getting ready for its first Final Four appearance since 2005 and will take on UConn at Lucas Oil Stadium.

UConn: 1.686 million

After a comeback for the ages, UConn is back in the Final Four. Braylon Mullins’ game-winning shot was one for the ages as the Huskies completed a historic comeback against Duke in the Elite 8 – a game which became the most-watched of the 2026 NCAA Tournament to date.

An average of 13.4 million viewers tuned in for UConn’s victory, including a peak audience of 18.9 as Mullins hit the game-winner. The Huskies’ win over Michigan State also sits just outside the Top 10 in March Madness, according to data compiled by On3, at 7.34 million.

Arizona: 1.462 million

Rounding out the most-watched teams in the Final Four, Arizona put together a dominant second half last time out against Purdue. That game also became one of three to average at least 10 million viewers during the 2026 NCAA Tournament, doing so across both TBS and truTV.

Arizona outscored Purdue 48-26 in the second half to flip the script and punch its ticket to the Final Four for the first time in 25 years. Across both the regular season and NCAA Tournament, the Wildcats have brought an average of 1.462 million viewers.

With college basketball TV ratings still rising, the Final Four will present an opportunity to put a bow on the season. This year’s games will air across TNT, TBS and truTV.
