Colorado surging for top 2026 wide receiver after official visit

It is still very early in the 2026 recruiting cycle, but Deion Sanders and Colorado are making a move for one of the 2026 class's top receivers.

Jordan Clay, a prospect from San Antonio (Texas) Madison, holds 30 offers, including one from the Buffaloes. The Buffs were the first to host the four-star recruit on an official visit.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound receiver is the No. 8 wide receiver in the country and No. 15 overall prospect in the recruiting hotbed of Texas, according to 247Sports.

After his official visit over the weekend, it sounds like Colorado made a significant impact on his recruitment.

"I will say that Colorado made a huge jump to the top of my recruitment," Clay said to 247Sports following his visit.

Clay would be a massive pickup for Colorado for their 2026 class, which is only two players deep as we head into the second week of June. Clay has official visits scheduled with Oklahoma (June 20) and Baylor (June 13).
