Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu won’t be able to call upon star defender Yann Bisseck for Sunday’s away clash against Como.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the German center-back remains the only definite absentee in the Nerazzurri squad.

Despite missing out on Germany’s call-up in March, Yann Bisseck picked up an injury during the international break.

Indeed, the 25-year-old suffered a thigh issue toward the end of the two-week hiatus from club football.

Therefore, Cristian Chivu had to replace him with veteran star Francesco Acerbi in last weekend’s 5-2 thrashing of Roma.

Acerbi could make his second consecutive Serie A start when Inter take on Como at Stadio Giuseppe Singaglia this weekend.

Indeed, with Bisseck, who continues to draw inquiries from the Premier League, still in the pits, Chivu is likely to turn to the 38-year-old to fill the void.

However, the former Aarhus center-back may not be the only missing player in the Nerazzurri squad.

Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, and Alessandro Bastoni are all struggling with minor fitness problems.
