Things went extremely well according to last week's Rooting Guide wishes. After the Cowboys fell to the Lions on Thursday night, five games were identified as being helpful to Dallas' playoff chances. Three of those dreams became reality. For weeks, and long before most outlets caught on, catching Philadelphia in the NFC East was identified in these pages as the Cowboys' most attainable path to a playoff berth.

L a st week, the Eagles and Chicago Bears were identified as the teams with the best chance of collapsing down the stretch, a read well worth checking out. Both teams fell in Week 14. Now in Week 15, which game outcomes would best help Dallas' longshot chances at the postseason?

Week 15 is already off to a good start for the Cowboys' chances. On Thursday Night Football, the Atlanta Falcons rallied from two scores down to stun the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The loss dropped the Bucs to 7-7 and out of first place in the NFC South.

In a continuing trend from last week's article, Tampa has lost two games in a row. If Dallas wins out, they are going to finish ahead of that division's second-place team, whether the Bucs or Carolina.

The Cowboys would still need to surpass two other teams, but math scholars would agree that two is better than three.
