Dan Lanning offers injury update on Oregon Ducks' Dakorien Moore and Kenyon Sadiq

In a surprise appearance on the injury report, Oregon Ducks wide receiver Dakorien Moore was ruled out prior to the team's Week 11 matchup with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Sources say that it's a knee injury that isn't expected to be season-ending. Kenyon Sadiq was also held out because of an injury despite "begging" to play, per the CBS broadcast.

Without Moore and Sadiq, the Ducks managed to come away with a tightly-contested 18-16 victory over Iowa despite competing without right tackle Alex Harkey as well. The passing attack was far from excellent, but quarterback Dante Moore did enough without several of his top weapons in completing 13 of 21 passes for 112 yards including engineering a clutch game-winning drive that ended in a go-ahead field goal. Tight end Jamari Johnson led the team with four catches for 36 yards.

The run game also stepped up in a huge way, as running back Noah Whittington finished with 17 carries for a game-high 118 yards.

After the game, head coach Dan Lanning offered an injury update on Moore before providing an update on Sadiq as well.

Moore "tweaked his knee," Lanning said, but expects him to be okay.

As far as Sadiq, Lanning said that he'd been dealing with a lingering injury.

With their College Football Playoff and national title hopes still very much alive, Moore and Sadiq's presences in the lineup will be critical to the Ducks' chances.

Wide receiver Evan Stewart is expected to return soon from a torn patellar tendon that has caused him to miss the entire season thus far. With uncertainty over the two pass catchers' statuses in the coming weeks, Stewart's return becomes that much more important.

Oregon finishes the season with home tests against the Minnesota Golden Gophers and USC Trojans before heading on the road to face the rival Washington Huskies to finish the regular season. The Trojans and Huskies are both ranked and represent quality opponents that could bolster Oregon's resume with victories.
