Derrick White Gets Real on the Boston Celtics Offseason Moves

When a team begins retooling the roster, we always think about how those changes are going to impact the on-court product and what the viewing experience is going to be like. We seldom wonder what impact it's going to have in the locker room, as players lose close friends and suddenly have a new group of personalities to integrate into the ecosystem.

That's exactly the position the Boston Celtics roster has found itself in this summer. Out went Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, Luke Kornet, and (likely) Al Horford. In came Anfernee Simons, Luka Garza, Josh Minott, Hugo Gonzalez, Amari Williams and Max Shulga. That's a significant amount of turnover for one summer and will undoubtedly change the dynamic behind the scenes.

In the debut episode of his "White Noise" podcast, Derrick White provided some insight into what it means for a player when one or more of their teammates get traded, and how players move forward despite the surrounding upheaval. White also shared his thoughts on his former teammates and the bond they all shared after winning a championship together.
