The Miami Dolphins have made it known a few times that they don't plan on moving on from star running back De'Von Achane. Unfortunately for Dolphins fans who don't want to trade him, though, when a team is in a situation like Miami, anything is on the table.

If a team were to call the Dolphins with a first-round pick and other capital, there's a very good chance that Achane would be out the door.

In a recent trade proposal, the Dolphins would do just that in a deal with the Denver Broncos. The trade wouldn't bring back a first-round pick, but it would bring back a second and more.

Broncos Receive: RB De'Von Achane, 2026 Fifth Round Pick

Dolphins Receive: RB RJ Harvey, 2026 Second Round Pick, 2026 Fourth Round Pick

“The Dolphins are rebuilding and might not want to commit the amount of money it will take to lock up Achane. A running back's shelf life is only so long, and if they don't feel like he is a piece that will at some point help them compete for a championship, it would make sense for them to trade him at the height of his value,” Mark Morales-Smith of SI wrote.

If this were the Dolphins' return, I don't necessarily think this is the deal to make right now. Achane has a ton of value around the league, and it probably would be better to wait until the trade deadline and hope that they get a team desperate to trade for a running back. Still, the better plan should be keeping him around and trying to build around the young star.
