DT Khalen Saunders reacts to being traded from Saints to Jaguars
News broke on Sunday night that the Jacksonville Jaguars were making a trade with the New Orleans Saints for veteran defensive tackle Khalen Saunders.
It was later reported that the Jaguars were trading away offensive lineman Luke Fortner to complete the deal.
Not long after that report came out, Saunders took to X to share his initial reaction to the move.
The addition of Saunders provides the Jaguars' defensive tackle depth with a much-needed boost.
This was a position that was an unknown entering the offseason; however, no significant moves were made during free agency or the NFL draft to bolster that unit.

Adding to the uncertainty this summer has been the injuries that Arik Armstead and Maason Smith have been working through, which have sidelined both players for all of training camp.
Saunders is an experienced player, having appeared in 68 games and made 32 starts in his NFL career. He also won two Super Bowls with Kansas City before joining the Saints.
At 6-0 - 324 pounds, Saunders brings an added run-stuffing presence to the Jaguars' defensive line.
