Baseball season is in full swing in East Central Indiana. Here are the scores and top performers for each high school baseball team in the Muncie-area for the week of April 21-26.

Teams are in alphabetical order

Blackford Bruins (6-5)

April 22: won 9-4 vs. Marion
April 24: won 8-7 vs. Elwood

Top Performance: Trey McIntire led the team in hits and RBIs with a 2-for-4, two-RBI performance against Elwood. He also pitched four innings and stole two bases.

Blue River Valley Vikings (5-4)

April 22: lost 6-0 at Shenandoah
April 24: won 7-6 at Daleville
April 26: lost 5-4 at Eastern
April 26: lost 12-0 at Eastern (DH)

Top Performance: Jonny Howe went 2-for-3 and logged two RBIs in the Vikings' win over Daleville.

Cowan Blackhawks (5-4)

April 22: won 5-2 at Monroe Central
April 24: lost 17-1 at Knightstown
April 26: lost 6-1 at Northeastern

Top Performance:Gentry Groves was excellent against Monroe Central. The senior pitched all seven innings and allowed two runs (none earned) on three hits and two walks with eight strikeouts.

Daleville Broncos (6-4)

April 21: lost 13-3 at Alexandria-Monroe
April 22: won 10-5 at Eastern Hancock
April 24: lost 7-6 vs. Blue River Valley
April 26: won 6-5 at Tri-Central

Top Performance: Bryson Sigler went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and was walked twice in Daleville's win over Eastern Hancock.

Delta (7-4)

April 21: won 20-2 vs. Eastbrook
April 22: won 9-5 at New Castle
April 23: won 3-0 vs. New Castle
April 26: won 12-3 vs. Alexandria-Monroe
April 26: won 3-1 at Yorktown

Top Performance: Chase Flannery's power was on full display against Eastbrook. He went 3-for-4 at the plate with two home runs and logged eight RBIs in the blowout victory.

Jay County Patriots (3-6)

April 22: lost 14-4 at Norwell
April 24: won 6-5 at Woodlan

Top Performance: Carter Fugiett went 2-for-4 and hit a two-run homer against Woodlan.

Monroe Central Golden Bears (7-7)

April 21: lost 9-0 at Lapel
April 22: lost 5-2 vs. Cowan
April 24: won 17-1 at Wes-Del
April 26: won 11-5 vs. Adams Central
April 26: lost 14-11 vs. Adams Central (DH)

Top Performance: Isaac Middleton went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a solo home run in the first game of Monroe Central's doubleheader against Adams Central.

Muncie Burris Owls (3-7)

April 21: won 5-4 at Randolph Southern
April 22: won 12-2 at Liberty Christian
April 26: lost 10-4 vs. Fort Wayne Canterbury

Top Performance: Nicolas Bontzek had a great two-way game against Liberty Christian. He went 1-for-3 with three RBIs offensively and went all five innings on the mound, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits and four walks with 10 strikeouts.

Muncie Central Bearcats (2-11)

April 21: lost 12-1 at Yorktown
April 22: lost 11-1 vs. Kokomo
April 23: lost 15-4 at Kokomo
April 26: won 7-4 at Marion
April 26: lost 10-6 at Marion (DH)

Top Performance: Aaron Coggeshall went 2-for-2 and logged an RBI in the Bearcats' win over Marion.

New Castle Trojans (3-9)

April 21: won 14-10 vs. Shenandoah
April 22: lost 9-5 vs. Delta
April 23: lost 3-0 at Delta

Top Performance: Carson Bell drove in four runs with a 2-for-4 performance at the plate against Shenandoah.

Shenandoah Raiders (7-2)

April 21: lost 14-10 at New Castle
April 22: won 6-0 vs. Blue River Valley
April 24: won 3-2 at Wapahani

Top Performance: Drew Fredenburg pitched a gem to help the Raiders shut out Blue River Valley. He went all seven innings and allowed five hits and two walks while logging 13 strikeouts.

Wapahani Raiders (6-4)

April 22: won 18-1 at Randolph Southern
April 23: won 13-4 at Centerville
April 24: lost 3-2 vs. Shenandoah
April 25: won 5-1 at Alexandria-Monroe

Top Performance: Eli Andrews was a force against Randolph Southern, going 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs. He was a home run short of hitting for the cycle, as he logged a triple, double and single in the game.
