Jayden Aparicio-Bailey checks virtually every box evaluators look for in a defensive back. At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, the Rivals300 No. 79 prospect combines length, range, ball skills and fluid coverage ability. Off the field, his maturity and approach to the process have only elevated his profile. The result: a national battle to get him on campus this spring.

He has locked in nine visits:

As spring approaches, the program hosting the final visit holds the edge.

“I’ll most definitely say Georgia is leading the pack right now,” Aparicio-Bailey told Rivals. “Our relationship with the whole Georgia staff has been the longest, and they were one of the first teams to believe in me. The development across the coaching staff really stands out, and how they see me in their defense — as a true boundary corner — is really appealing.”

Still, the door remains open for others to make a move.

“These spring visits are super important,” he said. “My main objective is to go through most of my top 10, then shrink it down for official visit season. I’m emphasizing my values in a school and really evaluating that during these trips.

“Ohio State will be my first time visiting. Auburn will be my first time there with the new staff. And Alabama is really a first-time visit too. I’ve been there for a game day, but this will be my first time sitting down with the full coaching staff.”

Official visits are already scheduled to Clemson (May 29) and Georgia (June 5). Aparicio-Bailey plans to add two or three more after completing his spring tour, with a summer decision in mind.
