Fans Are Saying the Same Thing About James Harden After Latest Playoff Flop
With a chance to advance past the first round of the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2020-21 season, the Los Angeles Clippers traveled back to Colorado to take on the Denver Nuggets in Game 7.
Although they were coming off a huge win on Thursday, in which James Harden scored 28 points to invigorate fans into thinking his playoff woes were a thing of the past, the Clippers got the Harden of old during Saturday's 120-101 loss.
With the team's season on the line, Harden delivered a dud of a showing, scoring just seven points on 2-of-8 shooting in 35 minutes, posting a +/- rating of -29. As expected, fans on social media were not pleased with Harden's showing and quickly reminded him of his past struggles.
Clippers fans: “Harden we need you our season is on the line it’s a game 7”

"Ppl actually believed in James Harden to perform in a Game 7," wrote one fan.
"Can't believe I fell for playoff James Harden again. Thought Clippers had this series," added another.
"Vintage," joked another.
"PLAYOFF HARDEN WILL NEVER LET ME DOWN," commented a fourth.
"It’s just so harden to do this, like it’s just so obvious this was gonna happen, a generational player and scorer but no one is shocked at this," said another.
According to StatMuse, Harden has now been on the wrong end of a Game 7 loss with four different teams throughout his career. While the loss can't solely be placed on Harden's shoulders, struggles in big moments have been synonymous with his career.
According to DraftKings, Harden is averaging 19.3 points on 35% shooting in Game 7s, compared to an average of 23 points per game on 43% shooting in all other playoff games.
As for the Nuggets, they simply showed up ready to win in a big way. The team led by as many as 35 points, with all five starters scoring in double figures. They also got a huge showing from Russell Westbrook off the bench. Harden's former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate poured in 16 points, five rebounds and five assists off the bench.
The Nuggets will take on the Thunder in the next round with the win. As for the Clippers, they are left wondering what can be done to get over this hump.
