First TD: Shedeur Sanders scores to tie game with Panthers

Just a few plays after the Cleveland Browns recovered a muffed punt by the Carolina Panthers, rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders found the endzone for the first time in his NFL career. Facing a second-and-goal on the opening play of the second quarter, Sanders rolled out to his left and hit Kaden Davis for a 7-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 7-7.
It was a nice bounce-back from a scoreless first quarter, and it was an impressive play from the Browns’ rookie signal-caller. Sanders displayed his plus ball placement by fitting the ball nicely between two Panthers defenders and allowing Davis to make a play on the football.

With Sanders expected to play about 50 snaps against the Panthers, he’ll have the opportunity to further impress before his night is over. Hopefully, this is the first of many passing touchdowns for Sanders in his career with the Browns.
