Former Indiana Fever guard signs one-year deal with blossoming WNBA foe
After joining Indiana as a midseason hardship waiver addition due to the plethora of injuries incurred throughout the latter portion of the Fever's 2025 regular season, veteran free agent point guard Odyssey Sims has agreed to a one-year, veteran minimum and non-guaranteed contract with the Dallas Wings for the upcoming 2026 campaign.
Sims played 10 regular-season games for Indiana in 2025, averaging 10.3 points and 4.0 assists per game on 41.2% shooting.
In her eight playoff games, Sims was outstanding for the Fever, averaging 14.1 points, 4.4 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game on 41.4% shooting. That included a spectacular 27-point outburst in Game 5 of the WNBA semifinals against eventual league champion Las Vegas and double-digit scoring performances in six of the eight games played.
Breaking: 2014 No. 2 overall pick Odyssey Sims has agreed to a one-year deal to join the Dallas Wings, her agent, Harrison Gaines, Esq. of SLASH Sports, tells ESPN.

For the Fever, the decision not to offer Sims a free agent contract could stem from several reasons. Also, with Caitlin Clark back to full health and Indiana supplementing the roster with an abundance of depth in its backcourt, it might not have been the best option for Sims in regards to potential playing time.
Sims rejoins a Wings organization that now has 2026 No. 1 overall pick Azzi Fudd joining 2025 No. 1 overall pick and reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year Paige Bueckers, Arike Ogunbowale, and a group of recently signed free agents headlined by Alanna Smith and Jessica Shepard.
