Former Jaxson Dart Ole Miss Target Signs Contract With Super Bowl Contender

Head coach Lane Kiffin has done an incredible job recruiting for the Ole Miss football program ever since he took over in 2020. On numerous occasions, he has landed one of the top classes in the country, from both the high school ranks and the NCAA transfer portal.

The team had a record number of players attend the NFL combine this year, with multiple prospects from each side of the ball performing in front of professional scouts from all 32 teams. As a result, the team had eight players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, which was a program record.

Not every great Rebel was drafted, however, as tight end Cade Prieskorn never heard his name called at any point during the seven rounds. During his two years at Ole Miss, he was one of quarterback Jaxson Dart's favorite targets, catching 57 passes for 850 yards and seven touchdowns.

He finally had his number called on Saturday evening after the event, however. According to Andrew DiCecco, Prieskorn signed as an undrafted free agent with the Detroit Lions, who have been a Super Bowl contender for the last several seasons.

While he may have a tough time making such a talented roster, it will be even harder climbing his way up the depth chart. However, all Prieskorn needed or wanted was an opportunity, and he earned just that.
