Former LSU football offensive lineman Xavier Hill enters transfer portal again

Former LSU offensive lineman Xavier Hill entered the transfer portal on Tuesday after two seasons at Memphis, according to a report from On3's Pete Nakos.

As a graduate transfer aiming to play a sixth year of college football, Hill will go in search of his third team. He played three seasons with the Tigers before transferring to Memphis, where he started for two seasons.

Seeing time at left guard and right tackle, Hill was the seventh-best overall offensive lineman and fourth-best pass blocker in the American Conference according to PFF.

Hill was a three-star prospect and the No. 27 offensive lineman in the 2020 recruiting class, according to On3's Industry Rankings. Recruited by former LSU head coach Ed Orgeron, he redshirted his first year in Baton Rouge before starting two games for the Tigers in 2021. After a 70-snap 2022 season, Hill decided to transfer.

Two standout seasons at Memphis and SEC experience will make Hill an attractive prospect in the transfer portal. He'll likely draw sizable NIL offerings and look for a place that can put him on a path to the NFL in his final season of collegiate play.
