Full injury report for Joel Embiid, Sixers vs. Celtics on the road
The Philadelphia 76ers will hit the road on Sunday for a quick 1-game trip to take on the rival Boston Celtics. These two teams haven't seen each other since Nov. 11 as they faced off three times in the season's first 11 games for Philadelphia. The Sixers took two of those three matchups.
As far as the injury report is concerned, the Sixers will continue to be without Paul George as he continues to serve his 25-game suspension for violating the league's anti-drug policy.
Joel Embiid (right oblique strain) is listed as out. He missed Saturday's practice before the team left for Boston as he reported some soreness in his right side. The Sixers say he will miss the team’s next 3 games against the Celtics, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Utah Jazz. He will be re-evaluated after the matchup against the Jazz.
Johni Broome (right knee meniscus tear) remains sidelined.
An MRI revealed that Joel Embiid has suffered a right oblique strain in Thursday’s win over the Heat. He will miss the next 3 games and then be re-evaluated following the team’s upcoming back-to-back. #Sixers— Ky Carlin (@Ky_Carlin) February 28, 2026
