BASEBALL
Bay Port 14, Green Bay Southwest 1
GREEN BAY - Ethan Orlando and Griffin Clusman combined to pitch a five-inning one-hitter to lead the Pirates to the victory.
Orlando allowed one hit and struck out nine in three innings. Clusman did not allow a hit and struck out five in two innings.
Clusman was also 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and three RBIs. Tommy Berg added two hits, and Jack Froelich had a triple and drove in two runs.
De Pere 5, Green Bay Preble 3
DE PERE - Charles Buysse pitched a complete game, allowing four hits and no earned runs while striking out six to lead the Redbirds past the Hornets.
De Pere scored three runs in the first inning with a two-out RBI single by Isaac Herlache.
Preble tied the game in the fourth inning on three unearned runs. Trent DeMeuse had an RBI single in the inning.
De Pere went ahead in the fifth inning when Colton Setzer doubled and was driven in by a single by Max Zimmerman. De Pere added a run in the sixth on a passed ball to end the scoring.
Zimmerman had two hits, including a double.
Pulaski 3, Manitowoc Lincoln 1
MANITOWOC - The Red Raiders scored one run in the fourth inning and one in the fifth to go ahead 3-1 in the victory over the Ships.
Eli Heuser had three hits and an RBI for Pulaski. Logan Clauss hit a solo home run.
Braun Wotruba pitched a complete game for Pulaski. He allowed five hits, walked six and struck out eight.
Wrightstown 14, Clintonville 1
WRIGHTSTOWN - The Tigers scored eight runs in the sixth inning in the victory over the Truckers.
The game was the completion of a suspended game that was started April 15 at Neuroscience Group Field.
Bennett Stengel had three hits, including two doubles, and four RBIs for Wrightstown. Rogan Thompson and Jacob Miller each had two hits and an RBI.
Miller pitched three shutout innings to get the win. He allowed four hits and struck out four. Stengel pitched three innings, allowed four hits, an unearned run and struck out five.
Reece Killips, Conner MaGee and Landon Loose each had two hits for Clintonville. Killips and Loose both hit a double.
Gibraltar 7, Coleman 5
COLEMAN - The Vikings scored two runs in the sixth inning and three in the seventh to beat the Cougars.
Matt Tedtman had two hits for Coleman. Kollin Peters had a double and Cole Berth drove in two runs.
Crivitz 9, Norway, MI 8
CRIVITZ - The Wolverines scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning for a walk-off win over the Knights.
JJ Brand was hit by a pitch to bring home Michael Stahl with the game-winning run for Crivitz.
Colten Tarmann had two hits and drove in three runs for Crivitz. Pierce Polomis and Jackson Schramm both added two hits and two RBIs. Polomis and Tarmann both hit home runs.
Brooks Ludwig pitched a complete game to get the win. He allowed seven hits, only two earned runs and struck out five.
SOFTBALL
De Pere 13, Appleton East 5
DE PERE - The Redbirds used a seven-run second inning to power past the Patriots in nonconference action.
Appleton East scored one run in the first and four in the fifth.
De Pere scored two in the first, seven in the second, one in the third, one in the fourth and two in the fifth as it outhit East 17-10 on the afternoon.
Bella Robinett was 4-for-5 with two doubles, while Jaelyn Craig was 3-for-5 with two RBIs for the Redbirds. Adding two hits each for De Pere were Allie Frederiksen, Nataleigh Piper, Micah Zirbel and Siena Arendt. Zirbel also had a double and three RBIs.
Grace Hudson earned the win, pitching six innings and allowing nine hits, five runs (two earned) with two strikeouts.
Hortonville 5, Bay Port 4
HORTONVILLE - Emmy D’Addario hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to help power the Polar Bears past the Pirates in nonconference action.
Bay Port had taken a 2-0 lead after two and 3-0 after three, but Hortonville answered with four runs in the fifth. Maddy Gassner led off the inning with a double and Brailyn Huttle’s pinch-hit single plated Gassner.
Grace Danoski later gave Hortonville the lead with a two-run home run.
Danoski also picked up the win in the circle, pitching seven innings and allowing nine hits, four runs (one earned) with three walks and 10 strikeouts.
Calli Zimmerman and McKenzie Black had two hits each for the Pirates.
Seymour 6, Appleton North 0
SEYMOUR - Kendra Rettler, Monique Martinez, Adde Smith and Aryah Krahn all homered as the Thunder blanked the Lightning.
Rettler and Martinez finished with two hits each, while Smith drove in two runs.
Seymour scored two in the first, two in the third, one in the fourth and one in the fifth.
Rettler picked up the win in the circle, pitching seven innings and allowing six hits and two walks while striking out 12.
Calumet, MI 12, Green Bay Southwest 6
GREEN BAY - Calumet used the big inning to upend the Trojans in nonconference play.
Calumet scored three in the first, two in the fourth, five in the sixth and two in the seventh.
Southwest scored its runs with one in the first, four in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Audrey Nelson had two hits, including a double and a triple, to lead the Trojans.
Luxemburg-Casco 10, Marinette 0
LUXEMBURG - The Spartans scored three runs in the first, one in the second, one in the third and five in the fifth to overpower the Marines in North Eastern Conference action.
Stella Schleis was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Luxemburg-Casco. Also adding doubles were Alayna Deprez and Rylan Kaminski.
Coleman 15, Gibraltar 0
COLEMAN - The Cougars scored in all four innings en route to the nonconference win.
Coleman scored five in the first, five in the second, four in the third and one in the fourth.
Helping lead the Cougars were Aysha McPherson, who was 3-for-3 with a triple and an RBI; Alyssa Kurth, who was 2-for-3 with two doubles, three runs scored and four RBIs; and Macy Nowak, who was 2-for-3 with a double, home run and three RBIs. Also picking up two hits each for Coleman was Makenzie Nowak.
Makenzie Nowak also picked up the win in the circle, pitching four innings and allowing two hits while striking out three.
GIRLS SOCCER
Kimberly 4, De Pere 0
KIMBERLY - The Papermakers led 3-0 at halftime in the nonconference win over the Redbirds.
Katie Owens scored two goals for Kimberly. Ashlyn Krueger and Vada Sousek each had one goal and one assist. Laney Sitek also had an assist.
Papermakers goalie Bee Brockert made five saves.
Notre Dame 3, Luxemburg-Casco 1
GREEN BAY - The Tritons knocked off the Spartans in a nonconference game at the Notre Dame Quad.
