Iowa football QB Mark Gronowski turning heads at East-West Shrine Bowl

Don't look now, but the Iowa Hawkeyes are once again flexing their muscles with future NFL talent! As so many Hawkeyes have done, Iowa is showing out at the East-West Shrine Bowl this week.

Iowa's record-breaking return man, Kaden Wetjen, has already been lighting up the practices with his production as a wide receiver. Joining him in turning heads at the East-West Shrine Bowl practices is Iowa's quarterback, Mark Gronowski.

Known largely for his legs while with the Hawkeyes, Gronowski is a very seasoned passer, having thrown for 12,049 yards and 103 passing touchdowns during his collegiate career. He did use his legs very well, running for 2,312 yards and another 53 touchdowns on the ground, highlighted by 16 rushing touchdowns for the Hawkeyes during the 2025 season.

With a shot at the NFL, Gronowski is making the most of his opportunity to perform in front of NFL scouts, and it is drawing attention from social media.
